Leica V-LUX 3 Shutter Actuation's


Leica V-LUX 3 Service Mode - Shutter Actuations

The Leica V-LUX 3 is designed by Leica but made in collaboration with Panasonic who make a sister model the Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ150, equipped with a Leica designed lens and several key technologies solely from Panasonic and the firmware is developed by Panasonic though it is officially tweaked then released by Leica AG to ensure the images have the "Leica" look. Set the Mode dial to P (Program), press the Motion Picture button (Record Video) and the "Up" selector on the Menu/Set thumb pad simultaneously the turn the camera "On" via Camera On/Off Switch, Press Menu/Set button twice you are now temporarily in the Service Mode. You can confirm your status by checking the SETUP menu. There is now an "extra" option named "ROM BACKUP" there, below the "VERSION DISP." option, as shown Select "ROM BACKUP" using "down" button on the Menu/Set thumb pad then "right" select DSC>SD, press the Motion Picture button (Record Video) and the "Up" selector on the Menu/Set thumb pad simultaneously, the turn the camera "On" via Camera On/Off Switch again and rows of binary OOOOOOOOOOO appear as below

Press "display" button 3 times, press the Motion Picture button (Record Video) and the "Up" selector on the Menu/Set thumb pad simultaneously, this then displays the version (VER), Motherboard serial number (NO:), Power on times (PWRCNT), Shutter Actuation's (SHTCNT), Flash (strobe)fired count (STBCNT), & Power Saving count (PSVCNT),"right" again will show cameras first operation (date /time)and clock reset.
